Basmo

Basmo is an app for Android devices that helps you keep track of how long and what you are reading. It is not a social network, as it does not seek to share your goals and progress with other users. As a result, you can avoid feeling overwhelmed or a failure for not being able to read one day.

When you launch the app it will ask you for your goals. You will be able to set how many books a year you want to read and how much time you want to dedicate to it. Basmo will tell you based on your goals how much time you have to spend per day reading, and you can start the counter at any time. When you do so, you will be able to upload images of the book and make annotations of all kinds in the app itself.

In Basmo you also have a bookshelf where you can place the books you want to read, the ones you have already read and more. You can use this to keep a good record of the books you have pending and those you have had to abandon for whatever reason. In Basmo there is a section where you can check your statistics at any time and compare them with other users if you want. The goal of this application is to encourage you to read every day, and although some people prefer not to compare themselves with others, others may be motivated by the competition.
